  27. message and the truth it conveys.  This is not a nit, just a springboard

  30. There can be no dogmatic thinking.  Thinking involves the application of 
  31. principles and knowledge to the facts at hand and deriving conclusions.  
  32. This is work!  People want to be "lite" thinkers.  All of us do.  We read 
  33. news, we don't travel to Bosnia to observe it.  We have to be filters.  
  34. So how does the thinker know he is thinking?  By challenging his or her 
  35. assumptions and conclusions at every step, rejection previous conclusions 
  36. and *constantly* rederiving the conclusions.  While I "know" I am right, 
  37. I must listen to anothers argument assuming it is more right than mine.

  39. We are all neural-nets in training mode.  When we get out of training 
  40. mode we are dogmatic.
